Batteries should never be thrown away with regular waste. Many of our batteries, including alkaline, lithium, and SLA types, can be recycled at local recycling centers or special collection events. For larger batteries such as auto or marine batteries, please check with your local recycling program for proper disposal methods.

Battery Safety

Batteries should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. For automotive, marine, or power sports batteries, ensure they are securely installed to avoid leakage or short-circuiting. Never expose batteries to fire or high temperatures, and always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for proper usage. For rechargeable batteries, avoid overcharging and discharging them completely, as this can reduce their lifespan.

Yes, most of our batteries can be safely stored for extended periods if kept in the right conditions. It’s important to store them in a cool, dry location and to check them periodically. For lead acid batteries (like those used in vehicles and golf carts), it’s best to charge them to about 50% before long-term storage and a charger maintainer can help keep them in optimal condition.

If your battery is overheating or leaking, immediately stop using it and remove it from the device (if possible). For auto, marine, or power sports batteries, ensure the area is well-ventilated. Never touch leaking batteries directly, wear gloves if necessary and dispose of them properly according to local guidelines. Lithium-ion batteries must be handled carefully to avoid potential hazards. Do not puncture, short-circuit, or expose these batteries to extreme temperatures. Always use a charger designed for lithium-ion batteries, and never leave them charging unattended for extended periods. If the battery appears damaged or swollen, stop using it immediately

Account and Ordering
